A Lot Is Happening At Once

Today I had to transfer a domain away.

A customer decided to move it elsewhere. They still have other domains with us, so it’s not a full goodbye — but it still stings a little. There’s something about a domain leaving that feels more personal than it probably should. You register it, you watch it point somewhere, you think of it as part of what you’re building. And then one day it’s just gone from your dashboard.

I sat with that for a minute. Then I kept moving.

Because today also had a lot of other things in it.

A new hosting client got set up yesterday — they’d already registered their domain with us, and now they were ready for the next step. Emails and somewhere to put their website. It wasn’t a cold sale, it was a progression. Someone who already trusted Jetdomains with their name on the internet deciding to build the rest of it here too. That’s exactly how this is supposed to work.

A hosting package is renewing today. Small thing, but every renewal is a signal — someone decided to stay.

And I’m in talks with an old connection about transferring a .xyz domain to Jetdomains. We spoke about it, he said he’d be ready this week. That one’s exciting because it means I need to add .xyz as a product, which means setting up a proper transfer page too. The list of things to build keeps growing — not because I’m chasing features, but because real customers keep showing up with real needs.

That’s a different kind of building. It doesn’t feel like procrastination dressed up as productivity. It feels like response.

MRR is sitting at R684. The number is small and I’m not hiding that. But the day felt bigger than the number — transfers out, clients in, renewals ticking, pipeline moving. That’s what this season is supposed to look like. More to come.
