Hosting Is Live on Jetdomains. It Took Longer Than It Should Have.
Hosting is now available on Jetdomains.
You can register your domain and buy hosting in the same place, in one go.
That’s the news. But the more interesting story is why it took this long to show up on the site — because I’ve actually been providing hosting to clients for a while.
The Gap That Shouldn’t Have Existed
When a referral sale came in a few months back, it came with hosting.
The customer needed a domain and somewhere to put their website. I sorted it out. It worked. They were happy.
But if you’d gone to Jetdomains.co.za at that point, you wouldn’t have seen hosting anywhere.
It was something I was doing — not something I was selling.
That’s a strange position to be in. Delivering a service that isn’t on your own product page. Closing deals on something that doesn’t officially exist yet in your storefront.
I knew it needed to go up. But every time I sat down to add it properly, I got pulled into the same trap I’ve written about before: the urge to build it right before I built it at all.
Why I Kept Holding Back
The honest answer is that I was overthinking it.
I wanted the hosting integration to be seamless. I wanted the UI to make sense. I wanted the pricing to be perfect and the flow to be smooth and the whole thing to feel like it was designed properly rather than stitched together.
That thinking cost me time. And probably a few customers who landed on the site, didn’t see hosting, and left.
The customers who were already with me didn’t care about any of that. They cared that it worked. And it did.
The ones I hadn’t met yet just needed to see it on the page.
What Changed
A conversation, mostly.
Someone asked me directly: “Do you do hosting too?” And I said yes. And they asked where they could see the plans. And I had to explain that it wasn’t on the site yet but I could send them details.
That friction — having to explain why something I offer isn’t where people would naturally look for it — made it obvious.
The thing was ready. I was the one holding it back.
So I stopped waiting for perfect and put it up.
What’s Available Now
You can now buy hosting alongside your domain on Jetdomains.
One place. Clear pricing. For South African businesses that want their name on the internet without piecing together a setup from three different providers.
If you’ve been sitting on a domain that’s pointing at nothing — this is the next step.
If you’re a business that’s been on Instagram and Facebook and keeps meaning to sort out a proper website — this is where you start.
The Actual Lesson
Don’t wait until something is perfect to sell it.
If you’re already delivering it to customers and it’s working — it’s ready.
The gap between “I’m doing this” and “this is on my product page” is a gap that costs you money quietly. Nobody complains. Nobody tells you they couldn’t find it. They just leave.
I knew this. I’ve written about the trap of building when you should be selling.
Turns out the same principle applies to listing what you’ve already built.
Jetdomains is live at jetdomains.co.za — domain registration and hosting for South African businesses and founders.
